At the entrance of the COP29 Climate Conference, an innovative building consisting of 134 pieces of photovoltaic glass was officially unveiled. The building combines advanced solar technology with unique design concepts, with a total installed capacity of 16.36kW, becoming a shining example of the conference’s theme of sustainable development.
The photovoltaic glass building features three colors: Teal, Grey and Clear, each with a profound environmental significance. Teal symbolizes cleanliness and hope, representing the vision of a green future through renewable energy; gray reminds people of the reality of pollution and calls for action to improve the environment; clear color implies a transparent path of purification and sustainable development, showing the bright prospect of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
As a combination of functionality and artistry, this photovoltaic glass building not only meets its own energy needs but also demonstrates the potential of building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) technology for the conference. The design of the building integrates photovoltaic technology and environmental aesthetics, reduces carbon footprint through clean energy generation, and fully demonstrates COP29’s support for green buildings and renewable energy.
The COP29 conference focuses on addressing global climate change. This photovoltaic building has become one of the landmark buildings of the venue. Its design is intended to inspire participants to think together about the future sustainable development direction of mankind.
